I take an antidepressant is this going to effect me from getting hired? I have been a paramedic for 14 years and worked well under stress with this medication. Will they take my paramedic backgrond into consideration?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6135021354613685046.post-62436658096074432502009-02-20T17:36:00.000-08:002009-02-20T17:36:00.000-08:0010-8 said... HIPAA rule...This is a disgrace and an outrage!!!!!! HIPAA rules were clearly violated by the nurse at the medical section. Befor anyone asks for you to sign away rights to you PRIVATE MEDICAL HISTORY, they are suppose to tell you your HIPAA rights.........

Clearly this was NOT the case for this officer.

The Chicago Police Medical Section is a bunch of do nothing hater's that are SUPPOSE to be there to help an injured or sick Officer. They are anything BUT that. The medical section is in bed with the city who is in bed with the QUACK DOCTORS they force officers to go and see. Many Officers are walking wounded because of botched surgeries and undiagnosed ailments by these CITY DOCTORS......

If the medical section asks you to SIGN anything, immediately ask for the SGT incharge of the medical section and get on the phone RIGHT AWAY to your DOCTOR.........

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS BECAUSE THESE MOTHERFUCKERS WILL TAKE THEM AWAY FROM YOU WITH EVERY LYING WEASEL TACTIC THEY CAN........

I am telling you this from experience. From one who has been there and done that and put through the ringer by the medical section. They are nothing but a bunch of lying ass pieces of shit.

PS........ I called a Sgt on scene with a dispute against a nurse in the medical section. He got a CR on her, and guess what??? 30 pending on her and FIRED.........She was a civilian nurse with a heavy clouted husband attorney for the city. So if Jane Doe like me can do it, anyone can. Call for a POLICE SUPERVISOR!!!!

Ok end of rant I feel better now.

Good luck to this officer. Lawyer up and go get'em!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6135021354613685046.post-84788347357219326742009-02-20T09:43:00.000-08:002009-02-20T09:43:00.000-08:00I’m not a police officer but I am married to a pol...I’m not a police officer but I am married to a police officer who is disabled because of her service as a police officer. I also have a close friend who has sustained significant and life changing injuries on the job as a police officer. Both these officers have given their hearts and souls to one of the most thankless jobs on the planet. I’ve also seen first hand the inner workings of how officers are treated by the city they serve and the people they protect. Quite honestly, I find it shameful and disgusting.

Service to one’s country is just that, service. It doesn’t matter if it’s via military service, through a para-military organization such as a police department, fire fighter, EMS or whatever. Instead of being treated with gratitude and respect, the people who choose to serve as police officers are punished. Punished for being human beings, punished for the stupidity of others and punished for either doing or trying to do the right thing.

I would find it difficult to want to work for or serve anyone that sees my service as not having value. I could not have any loyalty to an employer who chooses to punish me for my service, loyalty and commitment.

Everyone that serves, no matter what the capacity, deserves to be treated with honor, dignity and caring, especially when they need it most.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6135021354613685046.post-67984742803878273642009-02-19T19:33:00.000-08:002009-02-19T19:33:00.000-08:00This is so wrong. This is so wrong.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6135021354613685046.post-76377793386981150292009-02-19T18:32:00.000-08:002009-02-19T18:32:00.000-08:00Whenever I get depressed I just go out and tase so...Whenever I get depressed I just go out and tase someone.
