A Cicero man died early Thursday after a multi-vehicle chase Wednesday morning through the Humboldt Park community ended when the man was shot on the West Side.

obbery is suspected to be the motive in the shooting of a 56-year-old man who was critically wounded while walking with his daughter during an attack near his South Side home early Thursday.
About 12:10 a.m., the man was walking outside with his daughter in the 6700 block of South Ridgeland Avenue when an unknown male black wearing dark clothing approached and tried to rob him at gunpoint, according to police.

A man driving a car was shot Wednesday night in the South Side’s Hamilton Park community.

Police responding to a call of shots fired found a man dead in the 7000 block of South Sangamon Street at 9:47 p.m., police said.

Robert Murray, 25, of the 1000 block of West 69th Street, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

A man was fatally shot while changing a tire at a Park Manor gas station Wednesday night on the South Side.

The man was shot multiple times while changing a tire at a gas station on the 7800 block of South King Drive about 10:10 p.m., police said.

A young woman walking with her boyfriend was shot and killed early Wednesday in a Far South Side neighborhood where her boyfriend was the intended target, police said.

The woman killed was identified as Christina Campos, 18, of the 10300 block of South Commercial Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Campos was pronounced dead at 1:58 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn

A 50-year-old man was shot several times early Wednesday in the South Chicago neighborhood on the South Side.

At 1:15 a.m. the man was outside on the 8600 block of South Exchange Avenue exiting a vehicle when a gunman who was acting as if he were mentally deranged approached and began “yelling like crazy,’’ according to a police authority who did not want to be identified.
