Chicago Tribune Sob Story For Man That Killed 4 Police Officers

Officers returned fire, killing Mixon, police said.

Mixon had previously served six years in state prison for assault with a firearm during an armed robbery in San Francisco, the family said. While he was in Corcoran state prison, he married his childhood girlfriend, they said.

Mixon's uncle, 38-year-old Curtis Mixon of Fremont, said his nephew had become depressed because as a convicted felon he could not find work. His nephew expected authorities to issue an arrest warrant for missing parole meetings, even though the he felt he was not to blame, he said.

"I think his frustration was building up, but he was trying to better himself," Curtis Mixon said. LaTasha Mixon said Sunday her cousin was "not a monster."

Dunakin is survived by his wife of 16 years and their three children, two boys ages 15 and 8, and a 13-year-old daughter, said Maxine Schwab, Dunakin's mother-in-law.

"He was smart, and he was so good with people, very warm and affectionate," said Schwab. "If you met him, you'd be charmed by him."

Bitch2
The media does it again it wasn't his fault he was depressed because he was a convicted felon and couldn't get job. His cousin said he wasn't a monster so he must not have been. Only a monster goes and kills four people in cold blood.
The media turns this story around making the MURDERER of four police officers look like a Saint !
Tell me Chicago Tribune whos fault was it he was convicted of a Armed Robbery whos fault was it that he went and killed four innocent people?

Puke-inducing excuses from sadfuck relatives and a reporter desparate for ideas being pushed for a different angle by an equally desparate sub-editor = totally naff article.

Try this one, wankers: "This poor guy only had a terrible record because the cops kept arresting him".

the parolee was arrested for murder 6 mos ago, but released because not enuf evidence....yeah he was a real *gem*...
his sister has been interviewed and they are playing it over and over here. She says he was a *nice guy*, *everyone loved him*, *if he saw you walking down the street, he'd hug you*...
only thing good about this story is the bastard is now dead...

We have all been saddened by this story...we live locally, and it is hard....

I don't freakin belive it. This asshole commits crimes, goes to jail then has justification for killing 4 officers?
Maybe if he'd of killed some nappy headed newspaper editor you'd read a different story.

I too am sick to death of hearing how nice these people who kill are/were. If they were nice they wouldnt have been in the position they were in nor would they have hurt another! Scum always rises to the top and lets here it for the officers who have the guts to skim it off the top!
